Seek and you will find

I had no self-respect,

So I covered my flesh

So I lowered my gaze

So I held my tongue

So I quashed my anger.

I had no purpose in life,

So I rejected want for need

So I shared my time and wealth

So I taught myself empathy

So I stepped out of my comfort zone.

I had no self-worth,

So I healed my broken past

So I forgave to move ahead

So I placed trust within myself

So I sought my inner beauty.

I had no sense of God,

So I woke up from the sleeping world

So I drank the vast, entrancing skies

So I wrapped myself in the arms of nature

So I took up residence in the hearts of men.

Self-respect, purpose, self-worth, God.

They live deep within yourself, so seek and you will find.
