sister-hood is currently on hiatus whilst we work on our relaunch. The site will still be available for your reading pleasure.
We'd like to thank all of our readers and contributors for their support over the years and look forward to coming back bigger, better and stronger.

Identity
Identity
How do I see myself?
How do I want others to see me?
Which of these is my identity?
One, both or neither?
I realise every time I meet someone
I want to share with them
The essence of my being,
The essence of my conflict.
As we sit and talk about our day jobs
A silent conversation plays in my mind;
These are the thoughts I’d like to share instead.
But I don’t.
For fear of overwhelming,
Or revealing too much
Of what makes me me.
My Identity for now,
Hopefully not forever;
Originally self- published for an anthology called ‘Identity’ by One Beat Zines. Profits were evenly split between The Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that supports young LGBT 16-25 year olds who are made homeless or living in a hostile environment, and The Feminist Library in London, who are a registered charity run by volunteers since 1975 and are currently looking for a new home due to being priced out of Elephant & Castle.
