sister-hood is currently on hiatus whilst we work on our relaunch. The site will still be available for your reading pleasure.
We'd like to thank all of our readers and contributors for their support over the years and look forward to coming back bigger, better and stronger.

Sisterhood
“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.” Hafiz
Your voice is exquisite
They won’t let you share it.
You move people to tears
They don’t want to see that.
Your heart is great
They want to break it.
To censor you
They detain you
Make you voiceless
Take away the thing that makes you who you are
But they won’t succeed.
Stand like Tahirah
Veilless
Show courage
For the fight for women’s rights
Her words running through you:
“You can kill me as soon as you like,
But you cannot stop the stop the emancipation of women”.
Be strong
Keep singing
Keep reading poetry
Drink wine
“To love more
And be happy.”
So we stand united with you
If they hurt any one of us
They hurt us all.
