URGENT ACTION: Anthropologist Homa Hoodfar detained in Iran

According to her family, Homa Hoodfar, a professor of anthropology has been imprisoned in Iran’s notorious Evin prison after weeks of interrogations by the Revolutionary Guards. Professor Hoodfar is a dual Iranian/Canadian national, working at Concordia University. Iran accuses her of ‘co-operating with a foreign state against the Islamic Republic of Iran,’ a term which could mean anything from espionage, sedition to propaganda against the state.
